Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to the beautiful town of Sandanski, located in southwestern Bulgaria. The journey to Sandanski takes approximately two and a half hours, offering scenic views of the Bulgarian countryside.
Upon arrival in Sandanski, you will check in at your hotel. Take a moment to settle in and refresh yourself.
For dinner, we recommend visiting "Mekhana Sveti Vrach," a cozy traditional Bulgarian restaurant offering a warm ambiance and a menu filled with delicious local specialties.
After dinner, return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.
Breakfast. Visit to Kiossev Boutique Winery, located in the village of Ilindentsi, approximately 20 km north of Sandanski. This family-run winery offers an intimate and authentic wine-tasting experience. The visit includes a guided tour of the winery, where guests will learn about the history of the estate and the winemaking process. Following the tour, a wine tasting session will be offered, featuring a selection of the winery’s finest wines, paired with local delicacies, bread, and cheese.
Free time for lunch in Sandanski. We recommend Restaurant Amoreti, known for its delightful cuisine and inviting atmosphere.
In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely walk through Sandanski. The town is famous for its mild climate and mineral springs, and a stroll through Sandanski Park offers a chance to experience its lush greenery and peaceful surroundings.
Breakfast. Departure to Villa Melnik Winery. A walk through the vineyards, a guided tour of the winery, and a tasting session of six wines, including selections from the “Rare Varieties” series, accompanied by water, breadsticks, nuts, and seasonal fruits.
Free time for lunch in Melnik, with recommended local cuisine at Tavern "Chavkova House" or Tavern "Hadzhidraganov’s Cellars".
In the afternoon, we will visit Zlaten Rozhen Winery. Guests will enjoy a curated selection of aged wines from their special collection, paired with a platter of locally sourced cheeses and traditional Melnik delicacies. During the winery tour, we will learn about the winemaking process and taste two wines currently aging in oak barrels, unveiling their rich aroma and unique flavor profile.
After the winery visit, we will head to the Rozhen Monastery for a short walk. The Rozhen Monastery is one of the largest and best-preserved medieval monasteries in Bulgaria. Dating back to the 13th century, it is famous for its stunning frescoes, intricate wood carvings, and historic icons. Nestled in the foothills of the Pirin Mountains, the monastery offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere, making it a perfect place for reflection and exploration.
Return to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight stay.
Breakfast. Visit to Sintika Winery. The tasting will include white and black bread, white brined cheese, yellow cheese, breadsticks, and mineral water. After the wine tasting, guests will have time to enjoy the SPA area and relax. Free time for lunch, with a recommended visit to Restaurant "Oasis".
In the afternoon, we will visit Medite SPA, where we can once again unwind and relax in mineral pools and the SPA area. Following our relaxation, we will head to Rupel Winery, where we will tour the winery, enjoy a guided session, visit the vineyard, and indulge in a tasting of five wines accompanied by appetizers. Overnight stay.
Return to Sofia Airport.
